Team News:
May 2008: Baldock Girls U16 win League by 13 clear points. This is a great achievement & an excellent way to exit Youth Football as League Champions.
June 2008: After careful deliberation the Management committee of Baldock Girls have decided to move on into open age football, due to the lack of U17/ U18 leagues within fair driving distance. This decision did not come lightly as it would mean due to the FA ruling that a player must have reached her 16th birthday before she is able to play open age. This means that the team have lost 2 very loyal & talented players. It is hoped that these two players will return to the team once of age.
July 2008: The team are now addressed as Baldock Town Ladies & have entered an open age League: Beds & Herts County Womens League. With only 6 original players Baldock have been holding trials. These have proven to be very successful as we have been able to sign several quality players.
July 6th 2008: Baldock Town Ladies entered their first Summer tournament at Leverstock Green. After a shakey 7 minute start in our first game & being 2-0 down. The team went onto win this match 6-2. From then on the team won all remaining games & only conceeding 3 goals through-out the tournament. After beating Leverstock Green in their final match 4-1 the team were crowned winners of the tournament.
New Signings: Rebecca Day, Holly Butrimas-Gair, Michelle Smith, Brooke Haggerty,
August 2008: Summer training programme going well. Team looking forward to their next tournament being held on August 31st at Sandy ladies FC.
New Signings: Lauren Hill, Sarah Holding.
August 31st 2008: Baldock Ladies travelled to Sandy today for their second tournament of the Summer. Although we played several teams we had already played at Leverstock. Today was different as it was 11 a-side.
Our first match was V Flitwick Ladies. The team played brilliantly to bring an end result 1-0 win. Second match was V Leverstock Ladies, again a great win 3-0. Third match V Sandy Ladies was a frustrating 1-1 draw. Forth & final match V Sherrardswood Ladies also ended in a 1-1 draw.
End result: Baldock Ladies win tournament with 8 points out of a possible 12. Sherrardswood Ladies came runners up with 6 points.

With the team finishing League Runners Up Baldock Town Ladies excepted the invitation of promotion to the Eastern Region Womens League.
With this the team had to find a new home ground, we could not find one located within Baldock. With sadness the ladies team had to decide to leave Baldock & except the great invitation from Whitwell AFC to join them as of 2009/10 season.
The Ladies are now known as WHITWELL LADIES AFC.
We would like to thank Baldock Town Youth Football Club for all their support over the past 6 years.
